5 tips for choosing the right chair for your wedding

Are you planning your wedding and looking for the perfect chairs for your big day?

Every year we supply chairs for hundreds of weddings – these are our 5 top tips when choosing chairs for your wedding.

1. Will your chairs be used for both ceremony and reception?

If your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception are all being held at the same venue then there is a good chance that the chairs you hire will be used for all three.

3. Are the chairs going to be used outdoors?

The right chairs can look really great when they are set up in rows for an outdoor ceremony. If you are hiring chairs that are going to be used outdoors then don’t forget to check with the hire company to make sure the chairs can be used outdoors. We are happy for our chairs to be used outdoors however there are other companies that don’t allow this – asking this simple question at the outset gives you the peace of mind that your hired chairs can be used outside.

4. Are the chairs in good working order?

Nowadays wedding chairs come in all shapes and sizes and unfortunately in all sorts of conditions as well. If you are hiring chairs for your wedding be sure that the chairs (and seat pads) you are hiring are in good condition both structurally and cosmetically.

5. Don’t forget the registrars!

When calculating the final number of chairs that you will need to hire it is very easy to count all the guests who will be coming to your wedding but forgetting the registrars.

This weekend it was a pleasure to supply our light up letters for the wedding of Emily and Vincent!  The balcony area at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury certainly provided the perfect location for the letters and along with our chiavari chairs really enhanced what is already a stunning venue.

Lask week we were delighted to take delivery of our new stock of limewash and white chiavari chairs!

If your wedding venue has chairs that simply don’t fit in with your wedding style then our chiavari chairs provide an elegant alternative that won’t break the bank. In a lot of cases our chiavari chairs can be hired for less than chair covers and sashes.

We can decorate the chairs with our range of sashes including over 80 colours of orgnza sashes, lace sashes, hessian sashes and vintage floral sashes and delivery and collection of chairs is always completed on time and at times that are convenient with you and your venue.

We welcome viewings of our chairs before they are hired – however please get in touch to arrange an appointment first as we aren’t always at our business premises.

We hired Blue Goose’s fairy light canopy for our Christmas wedding at Ellenborough Park and I must say it looked superb. Chiavari chairs – the perfect wedding chair…………..

Nowadays lots of wedding venues have “the chairs” that come with the space, but they are often made for comfort during long meetings and conferences rather than aesthetics which isn’t ideal for your wedding celebration. Luckily this is where chiavari chairs can help!

The Chiavari chair is named after the coastal Italian town of Chiavari where the design of the chair originates. The chair was originally designed in 1807 by craftsman Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi who wanted to create a lightweight yet elegant chair. This still holds true today and our modern range of chiavari chairs remain ultra elegant whilst also being sturdy and robust making them perfect for wedding celebrations and special events.

At Blue Goose Hire we stock chiavari chairs in limewash and white, both colours co-ordinate really well with a wide range of settings and colour schemes. We are also able to decorate your chiavari chairs with a wide range of sashes.

If you hire chiavari chairs from us then our professional staff will deliver your chairs on the morning of your wedding at a time agreed with you and your venue we will then return the morning after your wedding to collect the chairs.

Several days before your wedding we will phone your venue to re-confirm all the delivery and collection details so everybody involved can assured that things will run smoothly when we deliver and collect the chairs.
